Objective

  • To guide the activities of the Chair towards training, research, knowledge transfer and scientific dissemination in the field of research of excellence in architecture and, more specifically, in the relationship between the city and nature from an architectural point of view.

Impact

  • Activities for training and detecting talent:
  • - The Batlleiroig Chair Award will be created for the best thesis on the degree in Architecture Studies or the bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or for the best master’s thesis on the master’s degree in Architecture (MArq), the master's degree in Landscape Architecture (MBLandArch) or other master's degrees taught by the UPC's architecture schools that are linked to the Chair's research lines.
  • - 2 annual paid scholarships to work at Batlleiroig Arquitectura.
  • Research, technology transfer and innovation support activities:
  • - Study of potential lines of research that could be of interest to the Chair.
  • - Study of the industrial doctorate programme for doctoral students who work in the company during the period of development of the doctoral thesis, to establish its foundations and be able to promote it.
  • Knowledge dissemination activities:
  • - Annual technical conference at the Barcelona School of Architecture.
  • Educational cooperation agreements.
