Objective

  • Training, research, knowledge transfer and scientific dissemination in the field of urban regeneration.

Impact

  • Activities for training and detecting talent:
    • - Two educational cooperation grants for placements at the Municipal Urbanism Institute in the Department of Urban Regeneration.

    • - Presentation of ETSAB master's theses at the Institute’s facilities. A conference, the marking of assignments and an exhibition were conducted in June 2022 with 30 projects by students taking the specialisation in Urbanism (afternoons).

    • Research, development and innovation activities:

      • - Development of a joint research line on urban regeneration at the Department of Urbanism and Regional Planning.

        - Establishment of the topic of master's theses on the qualifying master's degree at the ETSAB in potential areas of urban regeneration in the municipality of Barcelona.

        - Award of a grant within the industrial doctorates programme for the preparation of a doctoral thesis in collaboration with the Institute.

        - Dissemination of research through an annual publication that includes the projects carried out during the academic year.
