HealthTech2030, Xartec Salut's annual event on innovation in healthcare technologies, devotes its 2026 edition to "the architecture of a healthier longevity". In Gaudí's commemorative year, it explores how science, technology and human-centred design can help people live longer, healthier lives.

  • Who: researchers, students, healthcare professionals, companies, start-ups, investors and policymakers.
  • Languages: English for the keynotes, fireside chats and finals; Catalan and Spanish for the sessions on unmet needs.

On the programme

  • Keynotes: Zaida Álvarez on biomimetic materials and spinal cord models for regenerative therapies, and Marc Güell on artificial intelligence, DNA writing and synthetic evolution.
  • From unmet need to solution: two parallel sessions on the oncology journey and organ transplantation, with patients, researchers, healthcare professionals and industry.
  • Innovation Challenge finals: the finalist teams present the solutions they developed over the weekend of 23 to 25 October at the UPC's Campus Nord.
  • Fireside chats: the Asian perspective on preventive health and longevity, and Catalonia's potential as a hub for healthy longevity.
  • Closing: voting for the Creativity Award, awards ceremony and networking.

Over the past four years, HealthTech2030 has brought together more than 1,300 attendees, and the Innovation Challenge has produced more than 50 innovation projects addressing real healthcare challenges.
