The objective of the AGRUPS grants is to promote the activity of UPC research groups by providing financial resources to recognize the effort of groups that have been acknowledged in the SGR-Cat call for proposals.

  • The amount of funding for each research group will be determined by the volume of its scientific production (publications, thesis supervision, etc.) measured with PAR Type 1 points, and its ability to attract financial resources (projects, agreements, continuing education, etc.) measured with PATT points.
  • The AGRUPS grants can be used for any type of expense related to research activity. Under no circumstances can the grants be used to pay additional salary supplements covered by Article 83 of the LOU (collaboration contracts or EC).
  • The grants will be awarded to research groups from the date of approval by the Governing Council, and the execution period for spending the funds on research activities will be until the end of 2024.
