2023 call for grants for knowledge transfer demonstration activities (PEPAC 2023-2027)

I. Object

Support for the transfer of technical and management knowledge adapted to the territorial and sectoral realities of the agri-food and forestry sector of Catalonia, through the implementation of demonstration activities in Catalonia, individually or collaboratively, according to the following categorization:

• Category 1. Demonstrative projects, test fields, networks of experimental plots, pilot farms, and demonstration itineraries.
• Category 2. Application of differential technologies.
• Category 3. Validation and prototyping of technologies.
• Category 4. Sectoral analysis and project capitalization.

II. Characteristics

i. Requirements

• Addressing any of the sectoral strategic areas.
• Being of interest to the sector and aiming at technological and knowledge transfer.
• Being innovative compared to previous or current experiences and having started after the date of application for the grant.
• Promoting innovation, cooperation, and the development of knowledge bases in rural areas, and strengthening links between agriculture, food production, forestry, research, and innovation, including the goal of improving environmental management and performance.

ii. Modalities:

• Individual: a single beneficiary entity
• Collaborative: carried out jointly by two entities. Both entities must be applicants and beneficiaries of the grant. A collaboration agreement must be signed and a leader designated. Minimum 30% - maximum 70% financial participation.

iii. Funding: €50,000 for individual activities; €100,000 for collaborative activities.

iv. Eligible expenses: Personnel (maximum salaries of group A24); Execution (laboratory consumables; materials, machinery, facilities; prototype realization; implementation of new technologies; service contracting; preparation of informative and dissemination materials; auditor's report, €1,200); Indirect costs (15% Personnel). v. Execution and justification: 1st deadline until 02/06/2025 (50% of activities and expenditure); 2nd deadline until 02/06/2026 (the remaining)

vi. Funding from FEADER funds.

FOR ALL EXPENSES, 3 OFFERS FROM DIFFERENT SUPPLIERS MUST BE PRESENTED, BOTH IN THE APPLICATION AND IN THE JUSTIFICATION, unless due to its special characteristics there is not a sufficient number of entities in the market (this must be justified). In the case of expenses from approved suppliers, please contact us.

III. Submission of applications

• What: report (according to model, according to modality and category) + acceptance agreement of the application + UPC document + collaboration agreement if applicable.
• How: RIDER application. Centrally, with the legal Representative's certificate.
• When: until 05/02/2024. Internal deadline: 29/01/2024
