The Leonardo Scholarships are aimed at directly supporting the work of researchers who are in the intermediate phase of their career and are characterized by a highly innovative scientific production. Deadline: until 20/03/2024 (18h) (internal deadline: 15/03)
I. Purpose
Granting individual scholarships to researchers and cultural creators in an intermediate stage of their career, between 30 and 45 years old, for the development of a personal and innovative project in the corresponding area of specialization.
- Areas:
- Basic Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)
- Biology and Biomedicine
- Environmental and Earth Sciences
- Engineering, Computer Science, and Data Science
- Social Sciences; Humanities; Fine Arts; Music and Opera; Literary Creation and Performing Arts
II. Project Characteristics
- Duration: between 12 and 18 months, from the scholarship subscription. Expected start: September 2024
- Grant:
- €40,000 (including indirect costs of 21% compared to direct costs).
- A budget for personnel hiring, materials, equipment, travel, stays, trips and expenses, article editing and publication, organization of congresses can be included. Contact us to send you a budget calculation template.
- Each item must be detailed and justified in the report and included in the online form.
- Do not include VAT on items, it is deductible.
- Cannot be applied if the applicant has already been a beneficiary of a previous Leonardo Scholarship.
III. Submission of Applications
- Deadline: until 03/20/2024 at 6:00 p.m. Internal deadline: 03/15/2024
- Who: researchers and/or cultural creators between 30 and 45 years old residing in Spain. If the project is carried out at a university, the researcher must be affiliated with the entity at the time of the scholarship signing, and with sufficient duration to execute the project.
- How: Online form. Information to provide: basic identification data, summary of professional trajectory, project summary, abbreviated CV, contributions, reference letters, and report (max 5 pages). Preferably all in Spanish.
