Registrations at d-HEALTH Barcelona part-time, training program for entrepreneurship and innovation in medical technologies

Biocat has opened registrations for the d·HEALTH Barcelona part-time program, focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation in medical technologies and 'digital health'. Registrations will close on February 29, 2024.

Design Health Barcelona (d·HEALTH Barcelona) Part Time is an 8-month program aimed at students, researchers, and healthcare professionals eager to train in health innovation, specifically targeting profiles in Health and Life Sciences, Design, Engineering, and Business.

The program, inspired by the Biodesign methodology created by Stanford University, provides participants with the necessary tools to develop a business idea based on addressing an unmet real medical need already identified in a clinical area of the six reference hospitals in Catalonia.

Most sessions are online, except for the 2 weeks of clinical immersion and some meetings held in-person.

Students join multidisciplinary teams of 3 or 4 people and receive training in:

• IDENTIFYING UNMET NEEDS and filtering the most promising ones (through clinical immersion).
• DESIGNING AND PROTOTYPING a viable solution that meets patient needs.
• DEVELOPING a business model according to the market.
• PITCHING (presenting) the project to investors and ecosystem professionals.

Format: 

• Part-time. Compatible with work or academic activities. Flexibility.
• Hybrid. Classes are online (live, twice a week) and combined with a 2-week clinical immersion in reference hospitals in Catalonia (the most important differential point of the program) and 2 meetings in Barcelona.

Price: €2,000
