Subprogram Overview

Cities are the most important population concentration nodes in Europe, hosting 70% of the population in just 4% of the territory. Moreover, they are the main consumers of energy and generators of CO2 emissions (70%). Therefore, the Cities Mission aims to achieve 100 climate-neutral cities by 2030. These cities should also become hubs for experimentation, innovation, and solution generation.
