Training proposal

Within the framework of the PROMETHEUS project, as part of the call for "Grants for the Preparation and Management of European Projects 2022," the organization of training on how to approach the impact section of Horizon Europe projects is planned.

It is proposed by the International Projects Unit, in coordination with Nèstor López, responsible for communication in the RDI Area, to organize training jointly between the Research and Innovation Support Service and the Communication Service of the UPC.

The training would follow the structure outlined below. However, it is adaptable to the criteria of the trainer and those with expertise and knowledge.

1. PROPOSAL PHASE
The European Commission has a model for project proposal submissions with specific sections. In the scientific-technical description part, known as part B, of this model, there is a section dedicated to the communication and dissemination plan. In this first part of the training, the aim is to identify the key aspects valued by the European Commission and how to address them from the perspective of the researcher submitting the proposal.

1.1. Communication vs. Dissemination
Here, each concept should be well explained along with their differences.

1.2. Drafting the communication part
Providing advice and guidelines on how to draft this section. Lessons can be drawn from RDI projects and examples of successful cases. Decision on the communication strategy. Scheduling.

1.3. Drafting the dissemination part
Providing advice and guidelines on how to draft this section. Lessons can be drawn from RDI projects and examples of successful cases. Decision on the dissemination strategy. Scheduling.

1.4. UPC Resources and Support
What resources does UPC offer to help draft this part of the proposal.

2. PROJECT PHASE
In this section, a concrete and practical explanation of how to execute the actions proposed in the project proposal would be provided. In each of the sections, it should be explained what support or service UPC can offer and how PDI can access it.

2.1. Visual Identity
Providing advice on how to establish and use a project's own visual identity and how it should coexist with UPC's visual identity.

2.2. Content
Explaining the criteria and guidelines to be used for drafting each type of content and what information should be selected. Providing examples.

2.3. Website Creation
Explaining the options available and which ones are most suitable for the type of project.

2.4. Events
Explaining when they are necessary and the procedure for organizing them.
