UPC 2024 Congresses

I. Call Characteristics

• Objective:

1. To enhance the realization of scientific congresses organized by UPC faculty and research staff that, due to their quality and scientific interest, contribute to the dissemination of research results in the corresponding field.
2. To contribute to the improvement of the quality and success of congresses organized by UPC faculty and research staff, and to promote the participation of faculty and research staff of recognized prestige.

• Applicants: faculty and research staff who carry out their research full-time in the field of an academic unit of the UPC and who must be part of the organizing committee and have a relevant role in the organization of the congress.
• Limitations on number of applications: one per professor and two per research group.
• Typology: Organization of congresses of a local, state, or international nature and held during the period 01.01.2024 to 12.31.2024, both in telematic and face-to-face formats, and preferably held in Barcelona or other Catalan locations.
• Eligible expenses:
• Registration fees for grant holders or young researchers.
• Travel and/or accommodation expenses for UPC faculty and research staff giving invited lectures.
• Expenses related to the preparation of the congress: rental of spaces, material for participants, website, editing and preparation of materials, and congress promotion.

• The payment of the grant will be made once the resolution approving the grants has been approved by the governing bodies. The grant will be transferred to fund F22910 of the managing center of the academic unit to which the grant recipient belongs.

II. Applications

• Who: the responsible researcher.
  
• When: until 04/30/2024.
• What: the content of the form is as defined in Annex 1.
• How: through the UPC Electronic Office (UPC identification required, PDI only).
