El repte/The challenge
Quality transportation service for people with reduced mobility (PRM), which improves the current network of collective and individual transportation on demand in small rural and/or urban areas with low availability of public transportation.
La tecnologia/The technology
The ATTE information system has been developed using open-source software and dockers, which facilitate the deployment on new devices and improve the product's modularity and scalability. Objectives:
- Organizations that manage transportation services for PRMs can use the platform to improve control and service allocation.
- Organizations can reduce expenses associated with call centers.
- PRMs can self-manage through a direct communication channel that informs them about vehicle availability.
- Individualized public transport operators see an increase in shared taxi kilometers and a decrease in empty kilometers.
- Reduction of non-useful CO2 emissions due to vehicle sharing.
