El repte/The challenge
Various proposals exist for waste containers that can be operated and manipulated by different handling and emptying devices. However, most of them only provide positive control to close the doors and seal their respective waste discharge openings, without offering positive control to open the doors as well. Current solutions for opening the doors often rely on actuation mechanisms that interfere with the container contents, potentially causing damage or breakage. This often necessitates repairs or replacements, incurring additional costs.
La tecnologia/The technology
The presented technology solves the issue of interference with container contents using coupling means designed to engage with a coupling element of a device for handling and emptying containers, along with actuation means based on a hydraulic or pneumatic system. These means include linear actuators consisting of a cylinder and a piston that moves linearly inside it. The piston rod is connected at one end to one of the doors to move it for opening or closing the opening.

- The actuation elements do not interfere with the container contents.
- Movement control is commanded for both opening and closing of the doors.
- Using pipes instead of mechanisms enhances safety and makes components easier to protect. Pipes are less prone to damage or malfunction caused by waste.
- Injecting fluid from the crane eliminates the need for mechanisms inside the container.
